Multiplayer game developer GaimTheory has received an undisclosed amount of funding from Momentum Venture Management, which tends to concentrate its efforts on early stage investments, according to SocalTech. In connection with the financing, the Los Angeles gamer has named Stuart MacFarlane as its CEO. MacFarlane is also a managing director at Momentum, and was previously the CEO of InsiderPages. No word on what the company plans to use the funding for. GaimTheory has been trying to position itself as an aid to both game developers and players.
