It has become quite trendy these days to use the iPhone as a marketing tool. Everyone is doing it. Latest to jump on the iPhone bandwagon: ON Networks, an Austin, Texas-based video production and aggregation company, which has started to offer ten of its shows formated for the iPhone’s widescreen.
Folks can download these shows from the iTunes store for free, and side-load them to their iPhone. Unlike the videos for iPod, the remastered content fits the 16:9 aspect ratio of iPhone (when held horizontally) and has better video quality. We downloaded and added a couple to our newly acquired iPhone, and were pleasantly pleased with the video experience. (Warning: video is taking on the battery life of the iPhone.)
The list of shows includes ON Dating, an online dating advice program designed to help viewers navigate the sometimes treacherous terrain of Internet romance. It is actually quite good. And if you are a music-loving foodie you might want to download, Dinner with the Band (see our review).
