Industry Moves Roundup: Rok’s New CEO; Skyzone VP; Handmark CTO

ROK Entertainment, the UK-based mobile video syndicator and provider, has appointed Laurence Alexander as its new CEO. Alexander has previously been the MD of the BT Cellnet subsidiary Genie and president of O2 Asia Pacific. Prior to this he was the CEO of handset manufacturer Emblaze Mobile.

SkyZone Entertainment, a mobile entertainment content provider, has hired Key Sar as VP of Business Development and Strategy. Prior to this, Sar was one of the founding members of the Verizon Wireless Content Programming team responsible for executing deals for mobile and VOD.

— Handmark, software developer for mobile phones and PDAs, has hired Ted Wugofski as CTO. He has worked at a number of wireless companies including Openwave and Phone.com, and will oversee Handmark
