Kevin Reilly, who was replaced from his top NBC TV job last month (and Ben Silverman brought in), has joined as the President, Entertainment of Fox Broadcasting. Meanwhile, Peter Liguori has been promoted to Chairman of Entertainment….Liguori approached News Corp COO Peter Chernin on the idea of bringing in Reilly, the company said in the release. Both worked together at FX Network in 2002-2003, where Liguori was President and CEO and Reilly was President of Entertainment.
“We need to be structured in a way that puts us in the best position take advantage of the myriad new opportunities digital technology has afforded the broadcast television business,” said Chernin in the statement. More details and analysis in this Variety story.
