A survey of 100,752 South Korean mobile phone users showed that 53.5 percent of respondents use the mobile internet at least once a month. The survey by Marketing Inside found that 14.4 percent use mobile internet at least once a month, 20.8 percent use it two or three times and 5.8 percent use it more than 11 times per month, reports Korea Times. The average monthly cost of mobile internet is 6,707 won (US$7.29). “Broken down by wireless operators, subscribers to the business bellwether SK Telecom use the mobile Internet most often, at 56.1 percent…KTF followed with 51.2 percent and the distant third LG Telecom failed to reach the 50-percent mark at 48.4 percent”. The most popular service was downloading ringtones, followed by multimedia files like pictures and games.
