– Chinese online gaming company Shanda has bought Chengdu Aurora, a Chinese developer and operator of multiplayer games…the company runs two of its own MMORPGs: “Feng Yun Online” and “Legend Online” in mainland China. — Chinese site Zhubajie.com.cnhas received $1.3 million in venture funding. Redline China says the site has an online marketplace for its users to share knowledge and purchase information.
— Online advertising solutions provider madeforchina has changed its name to Wanmo Performance Advertising, and has received $4 million funding from a consortium of strategic investors. Investors include co-founder of Advertising.com Stein Kretsinger, marketing services firm, infoUSA, e-mail marketer Datran Media, and venture capital firm Mustang Ventures. More in release.
