Adam Pash’s quest for full Firefox synchronization continues and he’s oh-so-close to having exactly what he wants. Not content solely with synching bookmarks and passwords like you can with Google Browser Sync, Adam has discovered that Microsoft’s FolderShare provides nearly everything he wants on either a PC or a Mac. With it, he’s synchronizing nearly his entire Firefox profile which includes:
- Bookmarks
- Passwords
- Themes
- Extensions
- about:config settings (this is an awesome ‘hidden’ feature in FF)
- Greasemonkey scripts
About the only item Adam doesn’t have synching yet is his browsing history; ironically, the also free Google Browser Sync does include that, so I’m sure it’s just a matter of time before he finds the right method. If you’ve never used the free FolderShare application, Rob Bushway has a nice writeup from earlier this week as well.
