I spent a fair bit of time at baseball games this weekend. I attended games at Ebbetts Field, Fenway Park, and Wrigley Field. Did I fly all over the country (or back in time in the case of Ebbetts)? Nope, my stepson was playing in a baseball tournament that was held at Big League Dreams, one of the coolest facilities I’ve ever seen. They create replicas of famous ball fields and scale them down for the young folk and the experience is just awesome. I was able to sit in the clubhouse in the air conditioning (90+ degree heat) and watch the games from right behind home plate. You know, the expensive seats in the big ball parks. It was great and since I knew they had indoor seating I brought my Tablet PC along with me.
I brought the Fujitsu P1610 due to its small size and weight. Coupled with my Verizon AirCard (EVDO Rev. A) I was able to make good use of all the down time that is usually wasted at these sorts of events. There are usually hours spent waiting for games to start and between games and I made full use of it all. I love mobile technology and Big League Dreams rocks!
