Broadcasters, Telcos Need To Partner To Develop Content: CNBC

Jeremy Pink, managing director of CNBC Asia Pacific, has told the mobile TV forum at BroadcastAsia that telcos and broadcasters have to work together to provide content good enough to compell people to use the services. He’s not just talking about mobile TV, but about all the different ways broadcasters can take their content mobile, reports Indian Television. “Both parties could jointly invest in production of specific content exclusively for the 3G platform, develop new technologies for the distribution of content for mobile TV, and in pricing, packaging and promoting the content on the specific platforms. They could develop other mobile TV products like scrolls with live business headlines, and SMS products.”
