Vodafone Fiji has signed a deal with Indian company Bharti Telesoft to use its content and VAS services, including Color Ring Back Tone (CRBT) services, Voice Portal and Multimedia Portal services. This is really only new because it’s Vodafone, which usually does its own content deals, services and so on. The release doesn’t give any indication why the Fijian incarnation of Vodafone has chosen to go with Bharti. There’s two points: Bharti and Vodafone were in business together in India before Vodafone bought out Hutchison, and there are a lot of Indians in Fiji so there might be a benefit from that angle.
