Earlier this year at FICCI Frames, Miditech CEO Nikhil Alva had said that content producers need to retain some rights in order to exploit it across different platforms – and he doesn’t see this happening in India; broadcasters want rights across all platforms. Currently, Miditech has production facilities in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Singapore. The company also plans to set up production centres in Chennai, Kolkata, Malaysia and Indonesia. Miditech is investing Rs 25 crores this year on High Definition format.
