Kyte.tv, product of San Francisco-based decentral.tv that has been frequently mentioned on this site, tells us it has raised additional funding from Nokia Growth Ventures. The company had less than a month ago announced funding from Swisscom, Klaus Hommels, and Holtzbrinck Ventures. In both cases the amount was undisclosed, though it was in addition to $2.25 million in first-round funding.
Kyte provides a service for creating interactive personal channels, composed of video and photos, online or directly from a cell phone (see example above).
The company has done a nice job of tying up strategic partners, with Swisscom a leading European telecom operator, Holtzbrinck Ventures a leading European media company, and Nokia the 3G phone leader and largest cell phone maker in the world. Perhaps one of them will swoop in and buy their little project before too much longer.
