Industry Moves Roundup: NYT; UMG; WDIG; AT&T

NYT: Brian Stelter, the 21-year-old blogger behind TVNewser.com, is going from being written about in the NYT to being a staff writer for the paper’s Business section. Back in November, he was the subject of a 1,400-word profile, The Kid With All the News About the TV News. Stelter started the site as CableNewser in 2004, but changed the name six months after. An internal memo announcing his hire says the move “underscores the expansion of our efforts to integrate what we do online and in the print edition.” Mediabistro, which owns TVNewser, plans to hire a replacement.
