The Income Tax department has set up a blog, complete with user registration, RSS feeds, emoticons etc. Unfortunately, it’s a rather poorly designed blog (javascript errors while using firefox) and both the email address (if entered) and the IP address of those commenting are displayed. It does seem to be an honest, though misguided attempt at garnering feedback from the taxed, but unless they’re willing to raise certain issues themselves, and then allow users to give feedback on those issues – this isn’t going to last very long. They’re probably better off using a feedback form. I’m also wondering about how much of the taxpayers money was spent on setting up this…erm…this blog. [info via Financial Express]
