Oversi, a marketer of P2P caching and content delivery solutions, has received funding from Cisco as part of an extended second funding round, totaling $8 million. Oversi attracted Cisco’s financing by stressing the importance of developing tools that reduce P2P traffic congestion. The round was led by Carmel Ventures. StageOne Ventures and TempoPark Fund also participated. Israel-based Oversi plans to use the funding to build up its sales and distribution channels. It’s also working on developing new products in the P2P streaming and delivery space. Release
