Earnings: CyberMedia’s Internet Revenues Increase By 24.5 Percent

Revenues from the Internet businesses for speciality media company Cyber Media (India) Ltd (BSE: CYBERMEDIA) were at Rs. 7 crore, up 24.5 percent from Rs. 5.6 crore for the previous fiscal year. In comparison, for the 2005-06 fiscal, the company’s online revenues had increased by 42 percent.

As per CIOL, Biospectrum Asia, launched in December 2006, has 5,500 print subscribers and is getting 13,000 unique visitors per month on its website. Publishing revenues were at Rs. 65.9 crore, and the company has posted a net profit of Rs. 6.66 crores, increasing by 10.7 percent year-on-year. There’s no mention of the status of Cybermedia’s job board Dice, which had made operating losses of Rs. 1.4 crore in the first half of the fiscal. Cybermedia launched podcasts, called Cybercasts, this year.

The board of directors has approved a preferential allotment of 1,000,124 warrants convertible into equity shares to promoters, and an increase of authorized share capital from Rs. 110 million to Rs. 125 million. They’ve also recommended a 10 percent dividend.
