Mobile Apps Firm OnePIN Gets $8 Million Second Round Funding

OnePIN, a Westborough, MA-based developer of mobile contact exchange service CallerXchange, has secured $8 million in second round funding. The round was led by Greycroft Partners and joined by existing investors FA Technology Ventures and Egan-Managed Capital, and four senior executives from telecom and internet companies including Dan Schulman, CEO of Virgin Mobile USA. The funding will be used to accelerate product development and for international expansion.

CallerXchange is a mobile service that allows subscribers to automatically send, insert and update contact information in their phonebooks, and the company says it results in more calls and more SMS messages. The company was founded in 1998.
