Mobile Advertising Rockets To $14.4 Billion By 2011 — Strategy Analytics

Another stat to add to the stack. Strategy Analytics estimates advertisers will spend $1.4 billion on mobile media this year, reaching $14.4 billion by 2011 (when it will account for one-fifth of global spending on Internet advertising). Drivers include the increase inventory, the resolve of search companies to push mobile initiatives to market and the determination (or shall I say desperation…) among mobile operators to sell ads within their portals.
