The world’s largest gaming company EA has started its reorg, the first public move by its new CEO John Riccitiello: it has appointed Kathy Vrabeck as president of a new group within the company called EA Casual Entertainment. This will help company respond to the changes in the game market, as devices like cellphones, PCs and portable players like the Nintendo DS becomes bigger game playing platforms. Vrabeck, a former top executive at game publisher Activision, will oversee the development and publishing of games for all of those different devices, bringing together projects that were previously scattered throughout different groups within EA, reports WSJ.
