Multimodal Mobile Search Brings New Dimension To Mobile Advertising, Gains Traction In Japan

Vision search is no longer a technology in search of a problem; it is has become a solution that could pay dividends as part of a much wider and interactive mobile advertising scheme. Indeed, the concept, which began as a multimodal mobile search service allowing users to access information by pointing and clicking their cameraphones, may have a future as a tool that allows advertisers to deliver relevant advertising linked to the points of interest users choose to capture.
