San Mateo-based Gemini Mobile Technologies has raised another funding round of $5 million from Japan’s Access CO. LTD, Aplix Corporation and Nomura Securities. Mitsubishi-UFJ Capital, a previous investor, also invested in the round. Access and Aplix plan to explore the sales and distribution of Gemini’s messaging product and chat program eXplo. The funding will be used for general business purposes and international expansion. A couple of months ago Gemini secured $20 million from Goldman Sachs.
