Robbie Bach, the president of Microsoft’s Entertainment and Devices Division, said in an interview with SF Gate that the company has sold “a little over a million Zunes”, which is keeping in line with its projections late last year. “In the category we’re in, the hard-disk-based category, we’ve got about 10 percent market share. It’s a good start. It’s not an overwhelming start. I’m not going to pretend it’s some gigantic move.” Honesty, that’s a good start.
And this: “You can’t have connected entertainment if don’t have things people want to connect. We have to make sure Zune gets to scale. We have to make sure Xbox 360 continues to grow, and that Windows Mobile maintains its lead over RIM.”
