Google has launched access to its Calendar service from mobile phones, via WAP — so I’m pretty sure the big deal is a reformat. “Since more people have mobile phones than computers, it makes sense to let them view appointments registered in their Google Calendar from handsets with internet capability,” writes IDG paraphrasing Google Blog. It makes so much sense I’m surprised it hasn’t been done before — I did a quick search and couldn’t find any mention of it. IDG notes a couple of problems with the service, including possible data charges and: “Missing…is a useful option for changing or deleting existing appointments.”
