Round-Up: Pirates Content, Jumbuck In Brazil, User-Generated Extreme Sports

–mDisney (part of the Walt Disney Internet Group (WDIG)) has launched mobile content based on Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, including: A casual mobile adventure game where gamers play with Will Turner or Jack Sparrow in four gameplay modes; A mobile multiplayer game dubbed Pirates Multiplayer which has been available for a while but now has expanded distribution; Wallpapers and screensavers of favorite characters and scenes from the movie and tones based on the film soundtrack.

–Mobile social networking company Jumbuck has launched a Portuguese-language version, Chat do Mundo, which has gone live on Vivo in Brazil. It will also shortly go live on Portuguese operators Optimus, TMN and Vodafone. It’s WAP based and there are plans to bring out an SMS version soon.

–Extreme sports mobile TV company Yamgo has signed a deal with Tom Horn to launch a WAP-based mobile video sharing service. The idea is for Yamgo customers to create their own mobile video page and upload videos directly from their mobile phone or over the web. They can then share them with their friends on any mobile network (with WAP access). (release)

–Endemol has signed Gameloft to develop and publish a mobile game based on the UK TV game show 1 vs. 100, which registers 10 million viewers per week. (release)

–Gamevil USA (part of the South Korean company that brought us Skipping Stone) has signed a deal with HandyGames to distribute the latter’s game Bulldozer Inc in the US.
