New Delhi Television Ltd. posted a more than 100 percent jump in its Q4 operating profits over the year-earlier period helped by strong revenue flow from television channels such as English news channel NDTV 24×7. The Prannoy Roy-promoted television production house’s quarterly operating profits rose to Rs 5.47 crores from Rs 2.50 crores in same period last year. NDTV revenues grew to Rs 67.60 crores, a 27.5 percent jump from Rs. 53.03 crores in the year-ago quarter.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization, or EBIDTA, for the fourth quarter rose 69 percent to Rs 11.00 crore from Rs 6.51 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
NDTV said its English news channel, NDTV 24×7 remains the market leader as per the latest Television Audience Measurement, or TAM, figures for All universe, all India. NDTV Profit and NDTV India have both maintained their positions in market shares, the company said.
