Earnings: Ziff Davis’s Revenues Down; Digital Revenues Up

Ziff Davis reported its Q1 numbers earlier this week, and revenues came in at $32.7 million, down about 19 percent from the year-ago quarter. IT didn’t report GAAP earnings, but reported EBITDA, and that was up $3.1 million for Q1, up 15 percent compared to $2.7 million for the prior year period. mainly due to improved digital performance.
On the digital side, revenues increased by 9 percent, and EBITDA was up four times. The company said half of its revenues now come from digital platforms and next quarter it will be well over 50 percent.
At March 31, 2007 the company had $22.2 million of cash and cash equivalents. During Q1, the company’s cash and cash equivalents increased $6.8 million. Earnings release.
