Sprint Nextel is making some major changes, after continued exec turmoil at the company: Tim Kelly chief marketing officer, replacing Mark Schweitzer, who is leaving the company at the end of May. Kelly previously served as the president of Sprint’s customer management organization.
Kelly will assume responsibility for “the development and execution of Sprint Nextel’s national marketing strategy, including brand, media, sponsorships, pricing, market research and CRM”. This includes Sprint Nextel’s transition to its new ad agency Goodby, Silverstein & Partners. New ad campaign is expected to launch by end of the second quarter. More details in release.
