Industry Moves: Warner Bros. TV and WMG Continue Digital Personnel Additions

A day after announcing its first online video deal with Joost, Warner Bros. TV Group will now look to Brett Bouttier to help spearhead the next one. Bouttier has been promoted to the newly created post of SVP, Digital for the TV group. Based in Burbank, Bouttier will be responsible for the domestic digital distribution of WBTVG’s current, library and original digital content. He will also work on business executions for all of WBTVG’s new media initiatives. Bouttier moves up from his current post as VP, New Business & Sales Strategy for WBTVG’s Telepictures Productions, where he worked on deals between The Ellen DeGeneres Show and Sprint and helped relaunch entertainment gossip site TMZ.com. And a few days after touting its renewed digital focus, Warner Music Group has hired former JetBlue.com marketing director Peter Scherr to serve as VP, Interactive Marketing. In his new post, Scherr will lead a team that will work closely with WMG’s labels to greatly expand the scope of WMG’s worldwide interactive marketing efforts, including mobile marketing, e-commerce and search engine marketing and web site optimization. Scherr reports to Dan Pelson, WMG’s SVP, Global Consumer Marketing. Release
