This goes out to all the PR folks that send us releases on ratings, rankings and awards. We do not cover them, whether it’s that the company you represent is in the list of the PC World top Indian websites for 2007, the Red Herring Top 100 for Asia, the JuxtConsult list of most usable sites, or that you’ve got a Limca Book listing or trying for the Guinness Book of World Records – good for you. But for us it means many emails and sometimes follow up calls from companies, in spite of clarifications – all related to something that is essentially not business news and more of a marketing (positioning) exercise.
So, in case you missed it – we do not cover ratings, rankings and awards.
