IntroNetworks, a Santa Barbara-based company that sets up social networks for businesses and conferences, has closed a first funding round of $2.7 million. AdobeSystems, which has worked with three-year-old IntroWorks, participated in the round. Additional capital came from several other, unnamed, strategic investors. Aside from Adobe, other customers include Publicis Groupe’s Starcom MediaVest, HP, Autodesk, Business Objects, United Way, Dow Jones, CMP Media, Ziff Davis and Intel. Release
