We’ve been on a binge of writing about ourselves lately but allow me one more post for now … some of you have already seen the current print issue of BusinessWeek featuring Rafat on the pier at Santa Monica channeling Gene Kelly. Trust me, this is one time where the online version doesn’t do an article justice. The story by Heather Green is about “The Big Shots of Blogdom” with Rafat, Om Malik and Mike Arrington as the main subjects. (Thanks for the quote, Larry.) One quibble: the article misses a major point about us — we aren’t one blog, we’re ContentNext Media, a company with multiple news blogs; a thriving jobs listing business; marquee events; and more. To be sure, our flagship paidContent.org was first (Rafat started it in June 2002) but it’s been years since it was an only child. And, yes, we agree with Steve Goldstein — thank goodness Rafat wasn’t on the cover.
On another note, we recently crowed a bit about being nominated for the best business blog Webby. The results are out and the NYT’s DealBook was the winner. Congrats, Andrew and company.
