Yahoo has launched a new advertising campaign highlighting the companies offerings in mobile and social search, running across online, TV and radio. The advertising push — using the tagline Life is a little bit better with Yahoo — highlights Yahoo Answers and One Search, the company’s new mobile offering reports Advertising Age via RCR News. “Yahoo, like all portals, faces a similar growth problem in that it is fairly fully distributed. The key for growth is to attract existing and non-Yahoo users to adopt new services in order to grow audience and impressions.” So Yahoo is focusing its ads on mobile and social search, indicating what the company considers to be the best sources of growth, although Ad Age also writes that it “indicates a build-it-for-consumers-and-we’ll-figure-out-a-way-to-monetize-it-later mentality”.
