Eddie at GBM provides a great overview of Pen Flicks in Vista. If you haven’t tried Flicks or you think I’m talking about obscene gestures with a Tablet PC pen (I’m not), you’ll need to check this out. Flicks aren’t for everyone, but I think they’re something everyone should at least try. If you like the concept of a "quick pen flick" for navigational efficiency, this is a feature is built right in to the operating system. For browsing, I use the navigational flicks which is a quick way to flick the page up or down as you read; no more scroll-bar for me!
UMPC owners aren’t left flick-less either; if your device has the proper HID drivers that allow Vista to recognize your UMPC as a tablet, then you’ve got ‘em too! With a bit of practice, you can use your finger on a Vista touchscreen just as well as the pen for the nav flicks.
