A survey of 2,000 Americans by comScore has supported common thinking about mobile TV. It found that males were more likely to be interested than females, and younger people were proportionaly more likely to be interested in the service. Forty-six percent of those who currently subscribe to Mobile TV are below the age of 35 and 65 percent are male. Males were also more likely than average to be interested in Mobile TV, while females were more likely to report being not interested. The survey also found that price was the top consider for people when choosing whether to get mobile TV… Around 71 percent of the respondents said that “cost of service” was a top consideration, and 67 percent who are interested in subscribing to a mobile TV service said they would be willing to watch advertisements in return for free subscriptions. The quality of service was also reasonably important, with half of the respondents saying that picture quality was very important, 47 percent saying that screen size was very important and 43 percent saying that channel reception was very important.
