Chinese video sharing site Tudou has raised a third round of funding. The amount wasn’t revealed, although this blog estimates that the company obtained $18 million during the round. In general, Tudou, like other Chinese video sharing sites, faces difficulty in attracting advertisers due to threat of a crackdown on copyright violations, as well as the surge in competition from portals like Sina and Baidu, which have been working on their own YouTube clones.
Meanwhile, according to another report, another Chinese video sharing site Ku6.com has received an investment of several million dollars–the reports says about $5 million–from DFJ ePLanet Ventures, two other funds and one strategic investor.
