Matrimonial Portals Plan To Get Into Wedding Planning Too

Every bit of revenue matters. So matrimonial portals, which are looking for additional revenues, are entering into assorted wedding planning services. For instance, Bharatmatrimony.com will offer pre-marriage services such as booking marriage halls, catering and decorations. They plan to roll out pre-marriage services by 2008. Last year, Shaadi.com started a pilot wedding planning service in Mumbai. Now it plans to launch it across the country in the next one year.
Shaadi has also launched Shaadi Service directory, wherein vendors provide details on catering, venues, rental services, etc. It’s likely these companies would now get into wedding exhibitions. The print magazines like Celebrating Vivah already does such events, and make money.
