AGA League Gaming Competition Begins

After a bit of a lull over the last two months, gaming competitions have resumed. The ASUS Gamers Association (AGA) League 2007 began this week, and there are already some reviews at Live2own.net, which is organizing the competition. The league will continue through to October 2007. The official games for the league are the usual PC games for such leagues – Counter Strike, and Warcraft III, though in case of Warcraft III, competition this time will be around the custom map ‘Defence of the Ancients‘ (DotA). The competition is being organized in cybercafes across 10 Indian cities: Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Jalandhar, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Cochin. Cash prizes range from Rs. 4000/- to 13000/- per competition.
Surprising that the league continues through the heat of summer, but I guess there are quite a few tournaments around winter time, and a league might not receive full participation then.
