Goldstone Technologies said it is planning to launch an IPTV service, which the company claimed, can be accessible from anywhere in the world. The Hyderabad-based company claimed it is using a patented technology that will provide IPTV services seamlessly on the internet, which is for the first time in the world, the company said in communiqué to Bombay Stock Exchange. It can deliver video at 600 kbps. It’s also setting up a network operating centre in Singapore or Taiwan for delivering the service globally.
The company said it has signed agreements with several Indian and European channels for global distribution. It is also in discussions for signing up movie rights and other on demand content. Goldstone has a tie-up with BSNL for providing IPTV services to BSNL broadband customers initially in Hyderabad and later to other cities.
