–Mountain View, CA-based wireless security company AirTight Networks has secured an additional $14.5 million in its third round of funding, bringing the company’s total investment to $36.7 million reports RCR News. The round was led by CMEA Ventures with all previous investors also participating, and Rob McIntyre, a partner at CMEA, will join AirTight’s Board of Directors.
–Interactive video company Ensequence has drawn $40 million in its third round of funding, which will be used to continue its worldwide expansion and open offices in Los Angeles and New York. Its software is used to distribute interactive video across mobile, the web and TV. (release)
–Santa Clara, CE-based WiMAX solution vendor Telsima Corporation has landed $50 million in new funding, including commitments from the initial investor syndicate: NewPath Ventures, New Enterprise Associates, CMEA Ventures, JAFCO Asia, and other strategic investors, according to American Venture Magazine.
–As expected, Carl Icahn has bought more shares in Motorola. In a bid to get a seat on the board of Motorola the activist investor has raised his stake to 69.1 million shares, or 2.9 percent, up from 64.9 million shares a few weeks ago, notes Forbes. He has already announced intentions to buy up to 4.4 percent of Motorola stock.
