Lifehacker highlights this tidbit: StrokeIt allows you to control applications with configurable mouse gestures. Conceptually, it’s very similar to the wildly popular InkGestures software for Tablet PCs only StrokeIt doesn’t require a Tablet; you simply use your mouse instead! I spent a few minutes with StrokeIt on XP and was able to use the default gestures or quickly set up my own. For example, I created a gesture to open up jkOnTheRun when drawing the letter "J" on my screen: no problem. Although that might not be the most practical example, you get the idea and could see how quickly you can navigate and take action simply by gesturing with a mouse.
The app didn’t work quite right for me on Vista (nor is it advertised to) but did work fine on XP; you can download it for free right here. Since it’s fully customizable, you can create personalized mouse gestures ’til the cows come home.
