Sprint’s Forsee Boasts About Content Usage

Sprint Nextel CEO Gary Forsee has talked up the carrier’s data credentials, a practice that is sure to increase once its WiMAX service gets off the ground. “The need for access to data transcends whether you’re at work, at home or on the go,” Forsee told a business group in Cleveland, reports RCR News. He said that Sprint processes more than 100 million photos each month over its wireless network, and that only Apple handles more music downloads than Sprint. This is a little surprising considering until a few weeks ago Sprint’s service was the most expensive at $2.50 per song, and it felt the need to cut the price to 99c.
