Huge Gap In Mobile Search Results & Optimization, U.K. Study Finds

Companies are well-advised to take the mobile Web, and their placement in mobile search results, more seriously, according to this article posted at Net Imperative. A new study, conducted by brand protection and mobile search engine optimization (SEO) firm Brand Attention, has predictably discovered most mobile websites require a major re-think.

As Howard Furr-Barton, managing director of Brand Attention, put it: “When inputting a company name into Google.co.uk, the research reveals 7 percent of FTSE 100 companies’ homepages do not appear in the first page of search results. A startlingly high figure, but low in comparison to 93 percent on Google Mobile Web UK.
