It doesn’t get more granular than this: NaturallyCurly.com, a social community devoted to coiled tresses, has received $600K from angel investors, the Austin Business Journal reported. Last year, the nine-year-old site even launched a younger-focused offshoot, CurlyKids.com.
Both sites provide articles, product information, salon recommendations and tips for curly-haired people. NaturallyCurly claims it has a global membership and sees nearly 10,000 visitors daily,
Ernst & Young has nominated NaturallyCurly for its Entrepreneur of the Year award in Austin this year. Local businesswomen Michelle Breyer and Gretchen Heber created the site.
