Industry Moves: Rambler CEO; AOL; NBCU DTD; Major League Gaming

– We missed this major international appt. earlier this month: Mark Opzoomer, former Yahoo Europe Managing Director will head Russian Internet conglomerate Rambler Media. From July 2001 till December 2003 he was the Managing Director and VP of Yahoo Europe. He also did a stint as the CEO of video search service Blinx as well. More details in PDF release here.
— Emily Becher has joined as VP, AOL marketplace. She was formerly category officer at Yahoo Travel.
— David Blair Epstein has been named VP, digital strategy at NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution. Epstein was most recently director of Interactive for Access Hollywood and AccessHollywood.com.
— At Major League Gaming, the professional video game league company, Todd Unger, Peter Cosco, and John Lane have joined the company. Todd Unger will lead MLG’s online efforts as EVP and general manager, digital. Peter Cosco will serve as EVP of global sales and partnerships for MLG. And John Lane will round out the MLG sales team as an SVP of global sales from Major League Soccer. More here.
