Cingular has confirmed that the iPhone will be launched on June 11, the first day of Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference, reports Gadgets Blog at Cnet. Apple is doing its best to keep the traditional secrecy buzz of its products around the iPhone, with AT&T COO Randall L. Stephenson showing it during his CTIA keynote and saying it was the first time he’d seen a functioning model. He didn’t get to keep it either, it got taken away pretty quickly — but not before the chairman of the FCC had a go, reports AP.
