Hack attack: sync files betwen Windows Mobile & a PC over the air

Windows_mobile_logoJon Westfall from Pocket PC Thoughts got tired of looking for his USB cables and decided to script a process that syncs files between a Windows Mobile device and a host PC. I know what you’re saying: I can move files via Bluetooth or WiFi (depending on your version of ActiveSync). That’s not exactly what Jon has replicated here. With a small scripting software purchase and an FTP server, Jon has his eWallet file in sych between his home PC and his smartphone wherever he goes. He’s got the process outlined for you to follow; me personally, I’ll wait for Windows Home Server (where did I put that beta disk?!?). If I recall correctly from what we saw at CES, Windows Home Server will support Windows Mobile devices as well, although I don’t know the full capacity of that feature. Either way, a great approach by Jon!
