Hour-Long Movie Mobile Chips Confiscated In China

The Chinese government has arrested 19 second-hand phone dealers in the past three weeks for selling pornography to be played on mobile devices, reports AFP. The amazing thing is not that the Chinese government is cracking down on pornography (which is illegal in China) but that the people arrested were selling chips that can hold an hour-long film and were selling them for only five or six yuan (about 60 to 80 cents) each. Those chips are far cheaper than anything similar I’ve heard of. Anyway, as a result Beijing has banned sending pornographic text messages or pictures via mobile phones.
