ScanR, a Palo Alto, CA-based startup which has a software which converts cameraphone pics into usable documents, has received $8 million in its second round of funding, according to SEC filing, picked up by PEHub. Adobe Systems and JAIC American were joined by return backers Trinity Ventures and Thomvest International.
The company’s service can be used to cleans cameraphone photos of whiteboards and documents, automatically tags the keywords, and delivers the results as a PDF file in email or as a fax.
