Cisco Canada has started a Bluetooth marketing campaign at Pearson International Airport in Toronto, Canada, reports MarketNews. When a person passes within about 100 meters of one of three backlit posters with a Bluetooth-enabled device (and Bluetooth on, of course) they’ll get a ping asking if they want to get free content from Cisco. If the answer is “no” the device will be remembered and not contacted again. An acceptance of the content will see them receive a 15-second video meant to promote the “human network” — depicting various methods of sharing information across the Internet. The posters will have a call to action encouraging people to turn on their Bluetooth device, in case they have the function turned off for any reason…
