Amp’d Opens Review for $65 Million Ad Account

So after the big money raise, Amp’d Mobile is reviewing its ad account, which spent $35 million last year (though still very small compared to the marketing/ad budgets for bigger operators). The company said that the marketer’s ad agency Taxi, which launched the brand, will not participate in the review. The company needs to definitely raise its profile as that’s the name of the game in the wireless market.
AdWeek: This year it is expected to spend $65 million. An unspecified number of proposal requests have been issued, and the client here prefers a local shop…a list of contenders is expected in the next two of weeks.
